Spotify Helps Artists Celebrate Their "Year In Music"

December 8, 2015

As Spotify has continued to dole out new updates and features throughout 2015, the massively popular music streaming service is ending the year in style.

On top of the recent addition of Fan Insights and Artist About Pages, Spotify has rolled out their “Year In Music” feature, aimed to give fans and artists a look at the number of songs and genres that were played in 2015.

For fans, it’s a cool look into some statistics about not only their own listening habits this year, but also how the world responded to artists on Spotify.

On it’s Year In Music microsite, fans can view what songs and artists were particularly popular by each season, check out specific artist stories and highlights, enjoy the playlists that accompanied major events and movements throughout the world, and more. It truly provides an all-encompassing look back at 2015 with a data-driven soundtrack.

Artists, on the other hand, can use the Year In Music microsite to check out how many unique listeners streamed their music and for how much time in 2015. In fact, Spotify’s Year In Music feature generates a well-designed, individual ‘accomplishment card’ that includes all of that information.
