Artist Breakdown: TuneCore Live Brooklyn Sept. 16

September 10, 2015

Oh you thought we were one-and-done in Brooklyn after last month’s event? Get outta here! We’re back in style next Wednesday, September 16th at the lovely Living Room in Williamsburg with a whole new line-up of awesome TuneCore Artists.

If you’re in the area, mark those calendars – better yet, RSVP on Facebook. With the help of our friends at Mirrored Media and Swisher Sweets, the TuneCore crew will be hanging on all three floors, (uh, that includes the sweet roof deck), ready to mingle and chat with artists. Come through, have a drink, catch a set – it’s free, after all! This month will feature Panda Elliot, Frances Cone, and Grace Weber. Get familiar below:

Grace Weber

Described by one critic as, “an old soul with new boogie shoes”, Grace Weber has been making waves in Brooklyn and beyond for the past couple of years. This Wisconsin-born singer-songwriter keeps the music moving with instrumentation and arrangements based in soul, roots and gospel, but it’s her vocals and lyrics that keep us hooked. Check out a track off her latest, The Refinery (via TuneCore), below:

At first glance you may assume Frances Cone is a one-person affair, but in fact they are a four-piece indie-pop outfit based in Brooklyn, (in recent years, the indie-pop capital of the world!). Between being dubbed “Best Of What’s Next” by Paste Magazine and landing licensing placements on networks like FOX, MTV, Bravo, and VH1, Frances Cone is just getting started. The group is in the process of recording and releasing the follow-up to their debut Come Back, and you can hear the title track from that album below:

Having played in bands the UK, Venezuela, and Argentina, Buenos Aires-based singer/producer Panda Elliot kicked off her solo efforts in 2011. Since then, she’s gone on to tour extensively and make a name for herself in the international music scene. Check out an example below of Panda’s ability to mix hot dance beats and rhythms with her personal passion for rock ‘n roll:
