So grab a Swisher Sweet and check out this amazing line up of artists slated to hit the stage Saturday night:

Waka Flocka Flame (feat. DJ Whoo Kid)
waka

You know his name! This Atlanta-based MC became a household name in 2009 when he dropped “O Let’s Do It” and he dropped his debut Flockaveli the following year. Waka Flocka went on to release two more studio albums, with an array of mix tapes to satisfy the masses in between. He’s even starred in his own VH1 reality show! We wait patiently for the release of his highly anticipated follow-up, Flockaveli 2, and we’re thrilled to have Waka Flocka headlining the last night of Swisher Sweets’ & TuneCore’s Austin Takeover.

Jacob Latimore
JACOB LATIMORE_B

Jacob Latimore is no stranger to the spotlight. As a teenager, he began appearing in TV shows and films like One Tree Hill, The Maze Runner and Ride Along. As an R&B/pop artist, Latimore’s 2014 gobal hit single “Heartbreak Heard Around the World” solidified him in the music space. As he continues to act, perform live, and record music, TuneCore is excited to see what the future holds for Jacob Latimore.

YONAS
Yonas_Going_Places_Promo_Image

Born and raised in New York City, YONAS got his start in music when he began studying classical violin at a young age. When he was ready to put it down, he focused his efforts on hip hop, releasing his debut mixtape The New Golden Era in 2010 (via TuneCore!). Since then, he went on to drive over 6 million views of his “Pumped Up Kicks” remix on YouTube, climb the iTunes charts with singles and albums, and share the stage with artists such as Macklemore and Wale.

Tre Capital
tre captital

LA born and bred MC Tre Capital broke onto the scene in 2013 with the release of his debut mixtape Heaven Isn’t Far From Here. He’d go into the next year by premiering his follow-up release Gundam Pt. 1 via the hip hop taste making Complex. After Gundam Pt. 2 dropped, Tre Capital is focused on building a wider fan base and maintaining his yearly release schedule with the anticipated I Can’t Die Yet dropping March 15!

RAS
ras-22

RAS is a husband and wife duo from Austin who create and perform an inspiring, high energy and positive brand of hip hop, comfortably applying the sounds of other genres to make their music pop. RAS has shared the stage and opened for artists K’Naan, KRS-ONE, Wu Tang, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), and Nas, and it’s no surprise they were able to nab the “Band Of the Year” win two years in a row courtesy of the Austin Music Awards in 2014 and 2015.

R.LUM.R
RLUMR

Alternative R&B artist R.LUM.R headed to Nashville recently and wound up having a huge 2015. His debut single “Show Me” quickly made it’s way around the blogosphere. R.LUM.R’s sound has been described as “a combination of narrative-driven lyrics over progressive alternative R&B production.” After climbing the global Spotify charts last year, we’re looking forward to R.LUM.R’s progress through 2016.

NIKO IS
nikois3

A self-proclaimed “student of musical truth”, this talented MC also garnered the attention of Javotti Media head Talib Kweli. NIKO IS was born in Rio De Janeiro, and his Brazilian influences shine through in his music. Funny, raw, and thoughtful, NIKO IS’ debut full length BRUTUS was released in February of last year to much acclaim. Check out a cut off that below:

K’Valentine
k'valentine

Born and based in Chicago, K’Valentine is an up-and-coming MC who dove into the genre of hip hop at an early age. Absorbing everything about the culture and excelling in academically and in the arts, K’Valentine moved from writing poetry to stepping into the booth. She linked with Talib Kweli’s Javotti Media imprint after her first two mix tapes, and released her third, Million Dollar Baby soon after. Check out her latest single below:

Goldyard
Goldyard1

A high-energy hip hop trio, Atlanta-based Goldyard consists of A.T, In-Doe and Producer Flick James. In the spring of 2015, they released F**k Culture 2, the follow-up to their 2014 EP of the same title. Fans can expect a third installment in the F**k Culture series this year. Goldyard has shared the stage with current hip hop stars and has a reputation for active, intense live performances.

BINGX
BINGX

“Bingx is energy incarnate. Between his singing  and rapping, he reaches a demographic untapped by most of his peers. Lightning   fast lyricism accompanied by melodic wordplay with a dash of grunge inspired   vocals put Bingx in a whole new category, he would say ” I’m not a rapper. I’m   not a singer. I’m a musician. We are who we choose to be, and my vision of   myself is always adapting. Growth is a necessity. “”
